Lumecca IPL
Lumecca is an intense-light pulse (IPL) treatment that targets pigmentation in the skin. By using full spectrum light waves, it can detect and destroy browns, reds and yellows in the skin. This treatment is great for patients wanting to correct or improve
- Rosacea
- sun spots + freckles
- acne scars
Once the pigment in the treatment area absorbs the light emitted by the device, the spots may darken before they fade or flake off.
The tip on the Lumecca handpiece is made of Sapphire which provides a cooling effect allowing patients to be as comfortable as possible! Lumecca is recommended for patients wanting a no-downtime, non-invasive yet effective treatment for addressing uneven pigmentation.
Results are best achieved when a series of treatments are completed 4-6 weeks apart. Results are permanent but subsequent treatments may be needed if new spots emerge.

More Information
Treatment and Longevity
Multiple treatments are recommended when treating skin conditions with IPL. Many patients purchase packages of 3 or more to see the maximum result. If patients follow up the IPL Treatments with medical grade skincare the results can last for more than 1-2 years. Follow up or “touch up” IPL sessions may be needed as patients have further exposure to the sun.
Patient Expectations and Pain
Patients can expect to see a large reduction in dark spots and redness after the first one to two treatment sessions. Small flaking of the skin and temporary darkening of dark spots is the normal post treatment reaction. Full treatment effect takes place 1-2 weeks post treatment healing

All patients seeking treatments at Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery will receive a treatment plan that ecompasses all of their esthetic goals. We recommend a patient's budget $1,500 or more when considering a treatment series of IPL.
Treatment option financing and membership is available for patients looking to spread out their payments over their treatment plan.
Lumecca IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a non-invasive skin treatment that uses high-intensity pulses of light to improve the appearance of the skin. It’s commonly used to treat a variety of skin conditions, including:
- 1. Sun Damage: Reduces sunspots, freckles, and other signs of sun damage.
- Hyperpigmentation: Helps in lightening darker patches of skin, such as age spots.
- Rosacea:Reduces redness and visible blood vessels.
- Acne Scars: Minimizes the appearance of acne scars.
- Vascular Lesions: Treats spider veins and other vascular lesions.
- Skin Rejuvenation: Promotes collagen production, improving skin texture and tone.
Lumecca IPL is praised for its effectiveness, quick results, and minimal downtime. The treatment is generally well-tolerated, with patients experiencing a sensation similar to a rubber band snap during the procedure. After the treatment, the skin might appear slightly red or swollen, but these effects typically subside within a few hours to a day. Multiple sessions are often required for optimal results.
If you have any of the following you may not be a good candidate for IPL.
- Darker Skin Tones: IPL can sometimes cause hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation in individuals with darker skin tones.
- Recent Tan: Individuals who have recently been tanning or have a sunburn should wait until their skin returns to its normal color.
- Active Infections: Those with active skin infections or open wounds in the treatment area.
- Photosensitivity: Individuals taking medications or with conditions that cause increased sensitivity to light.
- Pregnant or Nursing Women: It’s generally advised to avoid IPL treatments during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The cost of Lumecca IPL treatments can vary depending on several factors. Laser Treatments at Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery begin at $500 per session.
Here are some factors that might influence the cost:
- Treatment Area: Larger areas (such as the face and neck) will typically cost more than smaller areas.
- Number of Sessions: Multiple sessions are usually required for optimal results, so the total cost will increase accordingly.
Our clinic offers package deals or discounts for multiple sessions, which can help reduce the overall cost.
