  • A Guide to Summer Skincare

With summer upon us, it turns out your clothes aren’t the only thing you need to switch up with the season change… your skin requires special attention too! Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery in Las Vegas, Nevada helps patients make sure their skin is ready for summer with product recommendations, esthetic treatments and general skincare tips to ensure healthy skin all summer long.

    Skincare Products

First and foremost- It’s important you have the right skincare products in your regimen. Arguably the most important product is sunscreen. To protect your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays, we recommend using a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 or higher. Our favorite sunscreen is SunBetter’s Advanced Mineral Protection.

Another important product to have is a medical-grade antioxidant product. Skincare products with antioxidants protect your skin from harmful free radicals (found in things like pollution, cigarette smoke, alcohol, etc.). Our staff’s favorite antioxidant product is SkinBetter’s Alto Defense Serum. Not only does this product contain many antioxidants, it can also repair uneven skin tone and sun damage if you are to get burnt.

    Esthetic Treatments

At Deux Rosé, we recommend combining your skincare products with regular visits to a medical spa for optimal results. When you combine medical-grade skincare with clinical treatments, you are sure to keep your skin healthy all summer long.

Microneedling: Microneedling is performed using the FDA-approved SkinPen. Your esthetician moves the SkinPen across your skin, creating micro-channels which trigger your body’s natural healing process. When this is triggered, it prompts your skin to produce new collagen growth. Microneedling is a great summer treatment option for anti-aging and/or to address skin concerns such as sun damage, uneven skin tone and more.
Dermaplaning: Dermaplaning is a great treatment to get your summer started the right way! If you suffer from dry, uneven and/or rough skin, dermaplaning offers a light exfoliation to reveal radiant, glowy skin. When dermaplaning, our aestheticians use a medical-grade scalpel over the skin to remove dead skin cells and peach fuzz. Dermaplaning also allows for skincare products (AKA sunscreen) to better infuse into the skin giving you a soft look just in time for summer.

HydraFacials: HydraFacials are a type of clinical facials that are great for your skin year-round, especially during the summer! This particular facial include three steps: cleanse and peel, extract and hydrate & fuse and protect. The HydraFacial serums are made with nourishing ingredients that give you an immediate glow! For best results, we recommend pairing your next HydraFacial with a dermaplaning treatment.

Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery is proud to be the premier medical spa destination in Las Vegas. When you visit us for your summer skincare needs, you can rest assured that you are the hands of highly-qualified experts. Not sure where to begin? If you need help achieving healthy, beautiful skin, we are here to help!

  • Neck Treatments at Deux Rosé

At Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, we are frequently asked about treatments that are available for the neck area. When considering treatments for your face, it’s important to think about your neck and décolletage as well. Keep reading if you’re interested in learning about available neck treatments at Deux Rosé!

    Skincare Neck Treatments

There is a variety of skincare treatments that can be applied to your neck! The following treatments are ideal for neck rejuvenation:

    • Microneedling: Microneedling stimulates collagen production which minimizes pore size, treats sun damage, addresses fine lines & wrinkles and more. At Deux Rosé, we use the FDA-approved SkinPen for microneedling treatments. A minimum of three sessions is recommended for ideal results.
    • RF Microneedling: RF Microneedling uses radio frequency energy to tighten your skin. This treatment is popular for the face area, but it’s also an option for neck treatment as well. Similarly to microneedling, we recommend a series of sessions to achieve optimal results.
    • Chemical Peels: Chemical peels treat your skin concerns at a variety of depths depending on the peel. Chemical peels can treat acne, fade discoloration, balance texture and more. At Deux Rosé, we have a wide selection of chemical peels for you and your aesthetician to choose from.

    Injectable/PDO Thread Neck Treatments

In addition to skincare treatments, we also have injectable and PDO thread treatments available for the neck. For injectable options, we offer Radiesse to treat necklines. Radiesse is a biostimulant, which prompts collagen production where placed. When Radiesse is hyper-diluted and placed in the neck, it can soften and smooth necklines with results up to two years.

PDO threads can also be added to the neck to treat skincare concerns. Smooth PDO threads work by prompting collagen production in the area they’re placed, which can treat acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles & more. Barbed PDO threads can be placed around the neck area (commonly in the jowls) which can lift sagging skin, giving you a tighter and brighter look.

    PDO Threads

    Skincare Products

Skincare products play a vital role in your skin’s health. Although many people apply skincare products to their face, people often tend to forget to drag those products down into your neck and décolletage area. Applying skincare products to your neck will help maximize the longevity of your treatment results. There are even products like SkinBetter’s Techno Neck Perfecting Cream that are designed specifically for your neck! Not sure which skincare products are best for you? • Neuromodulator Treatments: Did You Know?

Neuromodulator treatments, AKA anti-wrinkle treatments, are one of the most popular treatments in the medical spa industry. With “Botox” being such a recognizable word, do you actually know what Botox is and what it actually does? To learn more about neuromodulator treatments, keep reading!

Botox is just a brand name. “Botox” is a word commonly thrown around and frequently used in the wrong context. Simply put, Botox is just a brand name for one of many neuromodulator products. Other popular neuromodulator products include Dysport and Xeomin and they all yield the same results.

Results last 3-4 months. On average, the results from your neuromodulator treatment last between 3-4 months, sometimes even longer! It varies per patient due to factors such as your metabolism, how frequently you exercise and more. Over time, our bodies can build a natural tolerance if you keep receiving the same neuromodulator product. If you notice your results are lasting shorter and shorter, we suggest switching to a new neuromodulator product!

Results can be seen in about 10 days. Unlike filler treatments where your results are immediate, it takes approximately ten days for you to begin to see your neuromodulator results. Neuromodulator treatments need time to set in, so most patients begin to see their treatment set in between days seven through ten. If you’re wanting to get neuromodulator prior to an important event, be sure to take this time into consideration!

Treatments take less than 20 minutes. Neuromodulator treatments are completed within a 30-minute appointment at Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery. Unlike other procedures that can take hours, this treatment is both quick and relatively painless! If you’re a busy person, this is the treatment for you.

Neuromodulator can treat migraines and excessive sweating. In addition to treating wrinkles, neuromodulator also treats a variety of other concerns such as migraines, hyperhidrosis, “orange peel” chin and more! Neuromodulator products temporarily paralyze the muscles where applied, so it’s important to stay on top of your treatment schedule. If you’re considering neuromodulator for one of these areas of concern, schedule a consultation with us!

Neuromodulator treatments come with a plethora of benefits and can treat a variety of concerns. If you’re considering booking a neuromodulator treatment, give our office a call and let our knowledgable team answer any and all questions you might have! If you’re ready to book your appointment, you can call 702-683-2831 or click here to book online.

  • Learning More about Lip Filler

What comes to mind when you hear the words lip filler? Is it Kylie Jenner? Or maybe even the idea of duck lips? While most people have heard of lip filler, most patients aren’t aware of all the areas lip filler can be used to treat. To learn more about lip filler treatment areas, keep reading.

Enhance lip volume. As most people would imagine, lip filler can be used to enhance your lip volume. Some patients prefer a more natural look, while other patients want bigger volume in their lips. Whether you want a slight enhancement or a larger pout, lip filler can be used to add that volume.

Add definition to the lip line/border. Lip filler is also used to add shape, structure and symmetry to your lips. Most patients naturally have either asymmetrical lips, an undefined lip border or even both. If you have either one of these natural occurrences in your lips, lip filler can be your answer.

Enhance and lift your Cupid’s bow. When your Cupid’s bow is lifted with lip filler, it adds better definition and shape to your lips. Lip filler can create a sharp border for your Cupid’s bow, giving your lips a more natural, pronounced look.

Lift corners of the mouth. As we’ve previously mentioned, shape and structure are an important factors when it comes to your lips. If you have a downward-turned smile, lip filler can also be used to lift the corners of your mouth. This can give you a more lifted look, which results in a more youthful appearance.

If you’ve been contemplating booking your lip filler appointment, consider this your sign to book it! Our experienced injectors work with you to achieve your aesthetic goals while simply enhancing your natural beauty. To book your lip filler appointment, give our office a call at 702-683-2831 or click here to book online.

  • How to Get a Smoother, Brighter Face

When you’re wanting a smoother, brighter look and you find imperfections and unwanted facial hair standing in your way, dermaplaning might be the answer for you.

Dermaplaning is an exfoliating treatment that removes dead skin cells and peach fuzz while also treating fine lines and acne scarring. This treatment results in a brighter, fresher appearance! When the layer of peach fuzz and dead skin cells is removed from your skin, this evens out your skin tone. Not only does this help with skin clarity, it also makes it easier for your skin to absorb your skincare products, which also results in a smoother, brighter look.

At Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, we often recommend pairing dermaplaning treatments with other skincare services, such as chemical peels or HydraFacials. Due to the fact that dermaplaning allows your skin to better absorb products, patients typically experience better results when pairing dermaplaning with other services.

    Benefits of Dermaplaning

    • Excellent first step in skin rejuvenation
    • Painless with no downtime
    • Perks up dry and/or dull skin
    • Great for sensitive skin
    • Makeup and/or skincare products go on smoother and more evenly
    • Can lighten scars from past acne

Dermaplaning results can vary per patient. If you’re unsure if dermaplaning is right for you, schedule a skincare consultation with one of our talented estheticians! To book your appointment, contact our front desk at 702-683-2831 or click here to book online. We can’t wait to help you refine your beauty!

  • Debunking Botox Myths

Whether you’re new to Botox or a frequent Botox receiver, you’ve probably heard a few Botox myths along the way. At Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, our professional injectors are here to help you feel safe, educated and well-prepared prior to your treatments. If you’re ready to learn more about frequent Botox myths, keep reading.

Botox Myth #1: Botox is toxic.

If this were to be true, many medical spas would not be in business. Botox is both a protein and a neurotoxin. Despite what some people say, Botox is not capable of causing damage to your nervous system. When Botox is being injected, a minuscule amount is used for cosmetic purposes and is incapable of causing any significant damage. If you feel unsure, remember that Botox is FDA-approved and can only be dangerous if used in excessive amounts, just like any other medication.

Botox Myth #2: Getting Botox hurts.

Many of our patients tell us that they are quite surprised at what little discomfort they feel during their Botox treatment! A tiny needle is used for Botox injections, so a fear of needles shouldn’t hold you back. The actual Botox application itself only takes a couple minutes and most patients report minimal (if any) discomfort or pain.

Botox Myth #3: Botox is the cure for all wrinkles.

As much as we would like for this to be true, it is unfortunately another myth. While Botox is commonly used to treat dynamic wrinkles in your face, it is not a solution to all facial wrinkles. Botox is great for treating smaller, dynamic wrinkles such as crow’s feet, bunny lines and your frown lines. For larger, more static wrinkles, those can often be treated with various fillers. To determine which treatment might be best for you, we recommend scheduling a consultation.

Botox Myth #4: Botox entirely freezes your face.

Despite how Botox is commonly portrayed in movies, it actually does not entirely freeze your face. If Botox is administered correctly by an experienced injector, you’ll still be able to make facial expressions while minimizing your wrinkles. However, if you are a patient who likes a more “frozen” look, that is always an option as well. Prior to your treatment being administered, your nurse injector will discuss your aesthetic goals with you.

At Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, you can rest assured that you’re receiving quality care by experienced injectors. If you have any additional questions about Botox (or any other treatments), feel free to discuss them with your injector or with our knowledgable front desk staff. To book your Botox treatment, give our office a call at 702-683-2831 or click here to book online.

  • Medical Grade Skincare vs. Regular Skincare

In the skincare industry there is a plethora of products and brands to choose from. For many people, this can become confusing or overwhelming when you don’t know which products are most suitable for your skincare concerns. Often times, regular skincare products that you can purchase anywhere won’t yield the results you’re looking for. To learn more about the difference between regular skincare and medical grade skincare, keep reading!

    1.) Scientifically Proven

Medical grade skincare products are based off science and studies. This means these products go through clinical trials to scientifically prove these products yield the results they claim to. Despite what other marketing campaigns might have you believe, this is not true for regular skincare brands in the general cosmetic industry.

    2.) Expertise

With regular, average skincare products, you typically purchase these products based off your own skincare self-diagnosis. When this happens, this means you might be purchasing products that aren’t accurately treating your skin concerns or worse… they’re making them worse!

When you purchase medical grade skincare at Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, we can schedule a skincare consultation with one of our talented and certified estheticians where they recommend medical grade products specifically for you and your concerns.

Don’t have time for a consultation? Click here to take our online skincare quiz to see which products we recommend for you!

    3.) Regulated by the FDA

When you’re shopping for medical grade skincare, you can only purchase these products from clinics with a medical director. Medical grade skincare contains high-strength ingredients in them, which means they are subject to FDA regulation. In comparison, the traditional cosmetic industry is largely self-regulated, which results in inconsistency in safety and efficacy of the products.

Medical grade skincare does not require a prescription, but medical grade products do work more quickly and effectively to treat your specific skin concerns and improve your skin’s general health.

    4.) Direct from Manufacturer

At Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, we purchase our inventory directly from the manufacturers. Although you might find medical grade skincare online, approximately 33% of those products may not be genuine. To avoid any skincare disasters, we recommend purchasing your skincare directly from our clinic or from our Deux Rosé Physician Store online.

    5.) Comprehensive Treatment Plans

When you come to visit Deux Rosé, we build treatment plans specifically for you and your skin concerns. To maximize your results, we often recommend medical grade skincare products in conjunction with other esthetic treatments and/or injectable treatments.

Our estheticians and injectors provide you with expert recommendations so you can achieve the aesthetic goals you’ve always wanted. To book your skincare consultation and begin your skincare journey, contact our office by calling 702-683-2831 or click here to book online.

  • Top 5 Benefits of Microneedling Treatments

Microneedling treatments are a type of collagen induction therapy with many benefits. With microneedling, our estheticians use sterile needling to create mini trauma to the skin, which results in the production of collagen. At Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, we use the FDA-approved SkinPen for our microneedling treatments to give you get the best treatment possible! To learn more about the benefits of microneedling, keep reading!

    1.) Collagen Production

If you’re not familiar with what collagen is, it’s a protein in the skin that enables structure, strength and a youthful appearance. When you are receiving a microneedling treatment, the mini trauma from the treatment causes a boost in collagen and elastin production. When there is a boost in collagen, this can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. For the best results, we recommend booking at least three microneedling treatments with 4-6 weeks in between each treatment.

    2.) Scar Reduction

As we mentioned earlier, microneedling induces the production of collagen and elastin. Because of this, microneedling can be quite effective at diminishing acne scarring and other scars on the skin. Additionally, microneedling is safe on all skin types! However, it is important to note that microneedling can help with most scars except keloid (AKA raised) scars.

    3.) Hyperpigmentation & Sun Damage

If your skin has been damaged by the sun, microneedling can help! Sun damage often looks like blotchiness and/or discoloration of the skin and this treatment can help even out your skin tone. Microneedling stimulates new cell growth, which can help with redness, hyperpigmentation, age spots and uneven skin tone.

    4.) Effectiveness of Skincare

Due to the mini trauma microneedling causes to the skin, it assists with the absorption of topical products. Products like serums, moisturizers, and creams are better absorbed by the micro-channels created by the microneedling treatment, which in return, helps with the overall hydration of your skin.

    5.) Less Downtime

Another amazing benefit of microneedling is that it has less downtime compared to other services such as laser treatments or chemical peels. Microneedling gives you essentially immediate results with no downtime. Within 24-48 hours of your treatment, most patients say they can see a visible difference in their skin. With other treatments, it can take weeks or months to begin to see a visible change!

Microneedling is an effective way to achieve a more radiant and youthful complexion. We recommend this treatment to anyone who is wanting to rejuvenate their skin! To book your appointment, give our front desk a call at 702-683-2831 or click here to book online.

  • Erbium YAG Treatments: What Even Are They?

Have you ever heard of an Erbium YAG treatment? Although it sounds like a silly name, it’s actually a legitimate laser treatment! Out of all of the laser treatments we offer at Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, what makes this one different? Keep reading to find out!

    What is Erbium YAG?

Erbium YAG laser treatments are minimally-invasive skin resurfacing treatments that completely transform your skin. This laser treatment works by targeting the water in the dermis and epidermis to help turn over and tighten the skin… We like to call it the laser alternative to chemical peels! By turning over the skin, this treatment helps improve texture, fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, skin laxity and overall appearance.

How long does it take to see results?

Results from this treatment can be seen almost immediately! Immediately post-treatment, your skin will look brighter and feel smoother. As your skin heals in the days/weeks following the treatment, you will continue to see improvements. Additionally, you will continue to see improved results throughout multiple sessions and as the deeper layers of tissue continue to heal.

What is the downtime like for Erbium YAG treatments?

The downtime for this treatment varies as Erbium YAG treatments can be performed at a variety of intensities, depending on the patient. Typically, the downtime for this treatment is 1-3 weeks.

For 7 days, patients should avoid the sun and any sweating. Following the treatment, you can expect redness and possible peeling of the skin. It’s also important that you avoid any skincare products that contain active ingredients until your skin is fully healed.

What do I do after I’ve received my treatment?

After your treatment is over, your nurse will send you home with post-care products to help keep your skin moisturized. There is a limited amount of products you can use immediately post-care, so be sure to listen to your provider’s advice!

When it comes time to wash your face, be sure to only use cold or lukewarm water. As we mentioned earlier, you should avoid skincare products with active ingredients (retinol/retinoid, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, etc.) until your skin has fully healed. To ensure you’re protecting your skin, avoid the sun for 1-3 weeks and always wear a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher. If you have any aftercare questions, always feel free to contact out front desk!

Erbium YAG treatments are safe for all skin types and are a great option for patients looking to completely transform their skin! We typically recommend 3-6 sessions depending on your results, your esthetician’s suggestions and your desired aesthetic goals. If you’re ready to book your skincare consultation, give our office a call at 702-683-2831 or click here to book online.
