  • Dermaplaning and HydraFacials

At Deux Rose Beauty Refinery one of our favorite treatments to offer is a HydraFacial with a Dermaplane add-on. If you’re unfamiliar with either of those treatments, we’ll explain to you why it’s our favorite!

A Dermaplane treatment is an exfoliation treatment that uses a scalpel to gently remove vellus hair and dead skin from the face. Dermaplane treamtents are painless, relatively quick and instantly brighten dull skin. By removing this barrier on the surface, it significantly increases  the skin’s ability to absorb a secondary treatment, which is why it’s perfectly paired with a HydraFacial.

HydraFacials remove impurities that are embedded in the skin using serums that are uniquely engineered just for the HydraFacial machine. Once the skin has been purified, the HydraFacial treatment concludes by infusing the skin with antioxidants that leave your skin healthy, happy and radiant.

We recommend getting these treatments once every four weeks for a glowing and bright complexion! Schedule your appointment today by calling 702-683-2831.

  • Why You Should Consider Chin Filler

When you think of “injections” the first thing that comes into your mind probably isn’t chin filler, but here’s why it should be. It’s become increasingly trendy to get lip filler injections, but when getting lip filler, you should also consider chin filler in the same seating. Why? Well, when you enhance your features with lip filler, you ultimately change your original aesthetic balance. By getting chin filler, it restores balance for your new facial proportions and we have just the product to use for it! Restylane Defyne is now the only filler product that has been officially indicated for chin filler. The product is ideal for this area for producing a structured, yet natural feeling result. When visiting our clinic for your next lip filler appointment, discuss with your nurse injector if chin filler using Restylane Defyne may be the right treatment for you!

  • Things to Know about Tattoo Removal

    things-to-know-about-laser-tattoo-removal

One of the benefits of growing up and maturing is recognizing your fears and insecurities as simply that, fears and insecurities. Being able to move on and grow is usually only a gift that comes with age and hindsight. Another benefit of growing up and maturing is knowing that you made a mistake by getting that large cheetah tattoo during that drunken Spring Break in Mexico. Thankfully, just because that memory is permanently etched into your imagination doesn’t mean that tattoo has to be permanently etched into your skin. Insert, Laser Tattoo Removal. What is laser tattoo removal? How does laser tattoo removal work? Deux Rosé medical spa in Las Vegas has the answer to that and more below.

How Does Laser Tattoo Removal work?

Using a Q-Switched YAG laser, pulses of light energy are emitted and absorbed by the tattoo’s pigment. Absorbing the energy causes the particles in the pigment to heat up and shatter into tiny fragments that are then removed by the body’s own natural process. The surrounding tissue remains unharmed.

How Many Laser Tattoo Removal Treatments will I Need?

While every patient is different, most individuals need about 6-9 sessions spaced 8-12 weeks apart. The number of treatments will vary based on the depth and color of the tattoo, the age of the tattoo, the location of the tattoo, and if the tattoo was done by a professional or an amateur.

Does Laser Tattoo Removal Remove all Tattoo Colors?

Laser tattoo removal can help fade or remove most colors of tattoo ink. The wavelengths emitted by our laser resolve dark (blues and black) and red inks the best. Oranges and Purples usually fade fairly easy, as well. And yellow ink or colors combined with yellow inks are more difficult to remove and may never completely resolve.

What Should I Do After Laser Tattoo Removal?

After your Laser Tattoo Removal treatment, antibiotic ointment should be used for the first 2-3 days post-treatment. Mild redness and swelling at the site may occur, but that will resolve in 1-2 days. Patients may wash the treatment area with soap and water as normal.

You can now turn your tattoo woes into a thing of the past with our Laser Tattoo Removal treatment. Give us a call or click the link to schedule a one-on-one consultation with one of our licensed estheticians. And don’t forget to learn more about our facial and injectable services while you’re at it.

  • What is a Hollywood Carbon Peel?

    what-is-a-hollywood-carbon-peel

At first glance, “Hollywood Carbon Peel” sounds more akin to “The South Beach Diet” than a laser skin treatment. But don’t let the superficial sounding name fool you. A Hollywood Carbon Peel packs a big punch when it comes to repairing damaged skin. Not familiar with the treatment? You’ve come to the right place because Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery in Las Vegas has all the information you need about this ever-growing skincare essential.

What is a Hollywood Carbon Peel?

A Hollywood Carbon Peel is a zero-downtime laser procedure that helps reduce the appearance of aging and damaged skin by smoothing the skin tone, reducing skin pigmentation, fine lines and acne scars.

How does a Hollywood Carbon Peel Work?

The Hollywood Carbon Peel treatment begins with applying a carbon-based lotion to the skin where it will sit for about 15 minutes. The carbon mask feels and resembles a mud mask. Once the mask is set, we will move the laser over the lotion to break up the skin’s pigmentation, allowing it to be naturally removed by the body. Additionally, by heating the skin with the laser, this helps to activate the body’s natural production of collagen.

What is a Hollywood Carbon Peel Good for?

Hollywood Carbon Peels are great for individuals with oily skin who suffer with continual acne, blackheads, enlarged pores, an uneven skin tone, wrinkles and fine lines.

Is a Hollywood Carbon Peel Safe?

A Hollywood Carbon Peel treatment is completely safe. Post-treatment you may notice some redness or tingling from the laser, however this is normal and will subside. No major downtime is required post-treatment

As you can tell, the Hollywood Carbon Peel has the muscle to stick around a bit longer than its fad-diet sounding name might imply. And with proven results that are instantly noticeable, you’ll keep coming back for more. For more information on this or any other facial treatment, click the link to schedule your personal one-on-one consultation with one of our skin experts.

  • How Does Erbium YAG Laser Work?

    how-does-erbium-yag-laser-work

If we say to you “Erbium Yag,” what comes to mind? A foreign Water Buffalo type animal? Maybe a device that’d hold your water during a long hike? Both of those answers would be totally understandable, but as a medical spa in Las Vegas, “Erbium Yag” clearly refers to skin betterment. More specifically, Erbium Yag is a laser skin treatment. But follow along and we’ll give you all the deets on this funny oddly named skincare treatment. And we promise not to giggle if you can’t pronounce the name correctly, because honestly, we had trouble ourselves.

What is an Erbium Yag Laser Treatment?

An Erbium Yag treatment is an ablative laser treatment that targets water in the epidermis and dermis. Ablative treatments cause damage to the superficial and deep layers of skin. This helps resurface the tissue resulting in improvement of texture, fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, skin laxity, and overall appearance.

Is an Erbium Yag Laser Treatment Painful?

Prior to the start of the treatment, we apply a Tetracaine/Lidocaine numbing cream to patients. Some patients however, may still feel a warm pressure or a warm rubber band snap type of sensation during the treatment.

How Soon Will I See Results After Erbium Yag Laser Treatment?

Results from Erbium Yag Laser treatment can be seen immediately. The skin will look brighter, feel smoother and have an overall more even tone. Additionally, these results will continue to improve as the deeper layers of tissue heal over the next 3-6 months.

How Many Erbium Yag Treatments Will I Need?

While each patient’s desired results may vary, we usually recommend around three Erbium Yag treatments spaced about one month apart.

How Much Downtime is Needed Following an Erbium Yag Treatment?

There is no exact timeline for this, as an Erbium Yag resurfacing treatment can be performed at a variety of different intensity levels, based on an individual’s needs. Because of this, recovery results vary, but usually fall within the 1-3 week timeframe. But we usually recommend patients plan for at least 1 week of social downtime to let their skin heal.

What is Erbium Yag Treatment Aftercare Like?

After your Erbium Yag treatment, we’ll provide you with a petrolatum-based occlusive ointment. This helps the skin hold onto moisture. We recommend using this product for 48-hours post-treatment. Additionally, patients should only wash their face with cool or tepid water and avoid any facial products with retinol/retinoid, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or any other chemical exfoliant. Patients should also avoid direct contact with the sun in the first few weeks after their treatment and should always be using SPF-30 or above.

Have questions about this or any other of our injectable or filler treatments? Schedule a one-on-one consultation with one of our licensed nurses to see what treatments might be right for you.

  • All About Laser Hair Removal

    laser-hair-removal
Three words: Laser. Hair. Removal. You’ve been asking for it and we’ve finally added it to our repertoire. If you’re a laser hair removal veteran, you can now enjoy the service under the same roof as your lip filler treatments and custom facials. However, if you’re new to the hair removal world, allow us to drop some knowledge and let you know why our Las Vegas laser hair removal procedure is so important.

    What is Laser Hair Removal?

As its name states, laser hair removal is the process of using a laser to remove hair. At Deux Rosé we use our 810mm laser to target the hair follicle’s melanin. The energy in the laser damages the hair follicle which inhibits or delays hair growth.

    Is Laser Hair Removal Permanent?

While damage to the hair follicle delays hair growth for extended periods of time, it usually doesn’t result in permanent hair removal. Instead, maintenance treatments may be needed.

How Many Laser Hair Removal Treatments are Needed?

While every patient is different, most people need between 6-8 laser hair removal sessions. Hair grows in cycles and the laser only damages the hair follicle in actively growing hair. That is why it takes multiple sessions to target all the hair in each different cycle.

How Long Should I Wait Between Laser Hair Removal Treatments?

Patients should wait 4-6 weeks between laser hair removal treatments.

Who is a Candidate for Laser Hair Removal?

Laser hair removal can be performed on all skin types, although those with darker skin may require more treatments due to the energy levels permitted. The laser targets melanin in the hair follicle, so the risk of damaging the skin is higher when there is less contrast between the hair and the skin. The treatment is most effective on patients with light skin and dark hair.

    Is Laser Hair Removal Painful?

The treatment on its own can cause mild pain, especially in sensitive areas like the neck or bikini area. Most patients describe the sensation as a hot rubber band snap. Because of this, we can apply numbing cream to the area upon patient request.

Laser hair removal in Las Vegas has never been more popular. Hopefully this guide has taught you a thing or two about the treatment, or, at the very least, made you more comfortable about asking questions. Speaking of, don’t hesitate to schedule a consultation for this or any of our injection services

  • What are the Benefits of HydraFacials?

    benefits-of-hydrafacial
There is no more relaxing, and beneficial for your skin, experience than a facial. A simple Google search of the term “facial” bombards you with results like “Lymphatic Massage Facial,” “Microdermabrasion Facial,” “LED Light Facial” or “Galvanic Facial” to name a few. And while it is true that there are literally thousands of facial options on the market, we’re here to argue the benefits of the increasingly popular HydraFacial. What are the benefits of a HydraFacial, you ask? Don’t worry, we have all the deets for you down below!

    What is a HydraFacial?

Let’s start by getting the not-so-obvious out of the way, because a HydraFacial isn’t your typical facial. HydraFacial is actually a company that created its own medical-grade hydradermabrasion device to cleanse, extract and hydrate the skin. What separates HydraFacial from other facials, is that HydraFacial uses its patented Vortex-Fusion delivery system to accomplish this.

What are the Benefits of HydraFacial?

The most immediately noticeable benefits of HydraFacial are a hydrated and clear complexion. The reduction of fine lines, wrinkles and increased firmness are additional benefits to the treatment. And while the reduction of large pores and an even tone are great, it’s the improved signs of aging that really keep people coming back for continual HydraFacial experiences.

What is used in a HydraFacial?

As we mentioned earlier, a HydraFacial cleanses, extracts and hydrates. How does it do this? Well, without getting too boring, physical exfoliation created from high water pressure and its spiral-designed tip, chemical exfoliation from salicylic and glycolic acids and finally, suction is used to remove dead skin cells from the surface.

How Long Does a HydraFacial Last?

A Classic HydraFacial treatment lasts 45 minutes. Tack on a few add-ons and like an eye or lip treatment and the experience will be extended.

How Long do HydraFacial Results Last?

It is typical that the hydration and smoothness from a HydraFacial will last about 5 to 7 days. One HydraFacial a month is recommended to reduce large pores, even skin tone and improve signs of aging.

Now that you know all about HydraFacials, what’s your excuse for not enjoying one? If you’d like to learn more about skincare in Las Vegas, click here and schedule your next appointment at our Vegas med spa.

  • What is Restylane?

    what-is-restylane

If you’ve been around our Las Vegas med spa you’ve probably heard the term “Restylane” before. What is Restylane, exactly? What is its purpose? Well, we’re going to let you know that and a few other good-to-knows about this increasingly popular filler.

    What is Restylane?

Restylane, made by pharmaceutical company Galderma, is a Hyaluronic Acid (which is naturally produced in your body) designed to help smooth wrinkles and plump your cheeks and lips.

    How Long Does Restylane Last?

Results will vary based on the client’s metabolism and if any previous product had been used before, however, on average Restylane can last around 12 months in the cheeks, about 6 months for anti-wrinkle and 4-6 months for lips.

    Is Restylane Safe?

Yes, as an FDA-approved product, Restylane is safe for use. Restylane is a biodegradable product that metabolizes safely into the body.

When Do You See Results from Restylane?

Most people see results immediately, however complete results can be achieved within 1-2 weeks.

    Can Restylane be Dissolved?

Yes, Restylane can be dissolved via a treatment called hyaluronidase. Hyaluronidase has an immediate effect as it breaks down and softens the Hyaluronic Acid.

As you can see, Restylane is quickly becoming one of the most popular Hyaluronic Acids on the market. Give us a call or book an online appointment to learn more about Restylane or any of our other injection treatments

  • What is Sculptra?

    what-is-sculptra

If you’ve only recently heard of Sculptra, we’d like to officially welcome you to the party. Because while Sculptra has been around in Europe since the late-90’s, the injectable treatment only gained FDA approval in 2004, but is finally gaining the recognition it deserves.

Looking for Las Vegas Sculptra services can be a bit tricky, but our trained and licensed nurse injectors got your back (and your face). We’ve put together a few of the most popular questions about Sculptra to hold you over until you can meet with one of our nurses.

    What is Sculptra?

For all intents and purposes, Sculptra is a cosmetic injection that is used to restore facial volume. But the little known super power of Sculptra is its collagen-production that continues to build results long after the procedure. In this sense, Sculptra isn’t like other fillers, because, well, it isn’t a filler. Sculptra is actually a poly-L-lactic acid that promotes skin thickness in areas where hollowness and sunken areas have appeared like the face and buttocks.

    How Long Does Sculptra Last?

While each patient, and metabolism, is different, Sculptra results can last beyond two years. Even after that, because of its continued collagen-production capabilities, most patients only need one treatment a year.

How Long does it take for Sculptra to Start Working?

Like we said earlier, Sculptra is not a filler. Specifically, Sculptra is not a Hyaluronic Acid filler, which means that while you might not see immediate results, your results will be seen over time. A gradual change up to 12 weeks after the injection is typical for most patients.

What are the side effects of Sculptra?

The most common side effects of Sculptra are minor bruising, swelling and redness at or near the area of the injection site.

How Many Vials of Sculptra Do I Need?

While each patient is unique in their individual needs, a general rule of thumb is one vial of Sculptra per every decade they’ve been alive. Obviously this is just a rule of thumb and does not account for excessive volume loss, etc. But our nurse injectors will clear up any questions about vial quantity during consultation.

Sculptra is one of our favorite skin products on the market. To learn more about Sculptra or any of the other services at our Las Vegas med spa, give us a call or book your consultation today!

  • PDO Thread Lifts

    pdo-thread-lifts

We get it. Saggy skin is a capital “P” Problem, and as we age, there seems to be no end in sight. “Run those hills,” they say! “Get that cream,” they shout! Yet, try as you might, the skin continues to sag. This can be even more frustrating once you consider the complexities of a traditional facelift. Well, the struggle bus has made its last stop, because Deux Rose’s popular Las Vegas PDO Thread Lift procedure is here to help.

If you’ve never heard of PDO thread lifting before, think of it like a facelift without the surgery. This increasingly popular med spa procedure can help lift sagging skin around the forehead, jaw line, upper and lower cheeks, brow line, thighs, arms and more. Even better, it’s minimally invasive and non-surgical. People naturally have a ton of questions about PDO thread lifting, so we’re going to answer a few of the most questions below.

What is a PDO Thread Lift?

So what exactly is a PDO thread lift? Our trained and certified nurse injectors begin by injecting Lidocaine at the desired points of injection for comfort before introducing the Polydioxanone (PDO) threads into the skin, muscle or fat. The threads themselves, are medical graded, thinner than a strand of hair and made of various proteins, allowing them to eventually dissolve into the skin. This results in an immediate improvement of the skin as the PDO begins to increase the amount of collagen in the skin.

How Long Does a PDO Thread Lift Last?

PDO thread lift results typically last anywhere from six months to a year, and potentially even longer based on the individual.

How Long Does It Take to See Results from PDO Threads?

While you’ll see the most dramatic results immediately, it may take up to a few weeks for your skin to look more natural.

    Can PDO Threads be Removed?

In a worst-case scenario, yes. However, because PDO thread removal is more of a surgical process, it’s generally not a good idea to remove unless absolutely necessary. To avoid this worst-case scenario, our staff performs a thorough and comprehensive consultation to determine whether you’re an appropriate candidate for a PDO thread lift before the procedure takes place.

Because of its great results and quick turnaround time, you can see why PDO threads in Las Vegas are a growing trend. Click here to book your consultation, or visit deuxrose.com for more information on Las Vegas Botox, injectables or facials.
