    Morpheus8

    What is Morpheus8

Morpheus8 is a medical esthetic treatment combining microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) energy. This treatment is designed to stimulate collagen production in the skin, leading to rejuvenation and tightening. It’s often used for anti-aging purposes, reducing fat and cellulite, wrinkles, scars, and sagging skin. The microneedles create tiny punctures in the skin, which triggers the body’s natural healing process, while the RF energy heats the deeper layers of skin to encourage collagen production. This dual action can lead to improved skin texture and firmness.

Will Morpheus8 make me look too skinny?

The Morpheus8 machine has many settings. The setting associated with fat loss and facial slimming is not used on patients that do not have excessive facial or body fat. Patient consultation is key when deciding what setting of Morpheus8 you will be a candidate for. Our staff is able to analyze your specific needs and adjust the settings of the RF machine to accommodate your specific goal. Lighter settings help with fine lines, wrinkles and overall texture. Heavier settings of Morpheus8 can be used for stimulating collagen, eliminating fat and improve the look of cellulite. We recommend locating an experienced medical professional that is well acquainted with how to achieve specific goals using the Morpheus8 system.

Why do we recommend Morpheus8 before getting facial filler?

Remember… less is more. When you begin treatments such as Moprheus8 the facial remodeling begins. Skin tightens, filler dissolves, fat repositions and the face rejuvenates. Our Deux Rosé Regimens recommend patients seek at least 2-3 Moprheus8 face and neck treatments before beginning the facial balancing treatments with fillers or Sculptra. Overall patients who receive Morpheus8 before fillers are most likely to need as much filler over time and the results will be more natural than traditional filler applications.

What can Morpheus8 do for my body?

Morpheus8 is not limited to facial treatments; it can also be used for body treatments. Morpheus8 body treatments involve the same combination of microneedling and radiofrequency technology to target and tighten the skin in various areas of the body. Common areas for Morpheus8 body treatments include the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, and arms. These treatments aim to improve skin laxity, reduce cellulite, and enhance overall skin texture. Like facial treatments, results may take some time to fully manifest as collagen production is stimulated. Consulting with a qualified healthcare provider can help determine the suitability and expected outcomes for specific body treatment areas.

Can Morpheus8 help reduce my acne and scarring?

Morpheus8 is primarily designed for skin tightening and rejuvenation, and it is not specifically intended to treat acne. However, the microneedling and RF energy aspect of Morpheus8 may help improve the appearance of acne scars by stimulating collagen production, promoting skin renewal and killing bacteria under the skin. We have seen patients improve active acne and scarring in our Las Vegas Med Spa – Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery.

    How much does Moprheus8 cost?

At Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, one Moprheus8 face and neck treatment begins at $1,250; body treatments begin at $999, Our Rosé Regimens recommend at least 3 treatments in any specific area of concern. Multiple treatments within our clinic as well as membership allow patients to access steep discounts and reach maximum results. Interested in booking your consultation? Click here!

    Does Morpheus8 Hurt?

Morpheus8 procedures typically involve some level of discomfort, as it combines microneedling and radiofrequency energy. However, Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery uses a strong topical anesthetic to minimize pain during the treatment. Patient experiences vary, and while some may find it uncomfortable, many tolerate the procedure well. It’s advisable to discuss pain management options and expectations with your healthcare provider before undergoing Morpheus8 to ensure a more comfortable experience.

When will I see my results?

Results from Morpheus8 can vary, but many people start noticing improvements after a 3-4 weeks. Optimal results often develop over 2-3 months as collagen production increases, and skin continues to tighten and rejuvenate. Individual responses may vary, so it’s essential to follow post-procedure care instructions and consult with your healthcare provider for a more personalized assessment of your progress.

  • Needles vs. Cannulas: Patient Safety 101

Needles vs. Cannulas: Patient Safety 101

So filler is your new best friend – we totally relate. Apart from how much you love your results, how much do you know about filler? Did you know it can be administered using different tools? Most patients assume filler is always injected with a needle, but that might not actually be true! The two most common (and safe) ways to inject filler is with a needle or a cannula. To learn more about the difference, keep reading.

    Needles vs. Cannulas: The Pros

Traditionally, dermal fillers have been injected into the face using a needle; however, cannulas have become increasingly popular over recent years, specifically with larger areas of the face. As the popularity of cannulas continues to grow, how do nurse injectors decide between the two methods when treating a patient? Tools we use to inject the face – Needles and Cannulas

    (Needle vs. Cannula)

Needles are short and rigid with a sharp tip. Needles come in different sizes, your injector chooses the appropriate needle based off a variety of factors, such as the type of product and the area being treated. Needles allow for multiple entry points and they’re excellent for accuracy and precision. Needles are ideal for administering a specific amount of product in a very specific area, such as in the lips or nose. Cannulas are long and flexible with a blunt tip. Cannulas are available in various lengths, and the correct length is chosen based on the treatment area and type of product. Cannulas allow for fewer entry points and typically less swelling & bruising. With cannula use, a pilot hole is created prior, which is frequently used as the only entry point. With a needle, there is a new entry point each time your nurse injects. Cannulas also provide maximum flexibility, allowing injectors to maneuver into different treatment areas with a decreased risk of vascular compromise. Commonly treated areas with a cannula include the jawline and under-eye area.

    Needles vs. Cannulas: The Cons

While cannulas have a variety of benefits, cannulas are not ideal for treating targeted, smaller areas with maximum accuracy. Additionally, cannulas have a blunt tip, which means a pilot hole must be created (with a needle) before the tool can be inserted. The use of cannulas can also make it difficult for nurse injectors to reach deeper levels of the skin or tissue, which is occasionally needed. The biggest risk associated with the use of needles is the possibility of vascular occlusion, which is when filler is injected into the blood vessel, blocking the flow of your bloodstream. When this occurs, it can lead to a variety of severe complications. However, there are specific steps that injectors take to minimize the risk of vascular occlusion. The use of needles can also lead to more bruising and swelling, as your injector frequently has to re-insert the needle during treatment. For patients with a low pain tolerance, this can become uncomfortable for them.
In the end, there are benefits to both methods, depending on the area being treated, desired results and medical opinion of the injector. At Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, our injectors use both tools as needed and are properly trained with both needles and cannulas… patient safety is our top concern! • Microneedling vs. RF Microneedling

    Microneedling vs. RF Microneedling

When it comes to successful anti-aging methods, skincare treatments and cosmetic injections go hand in hand. Microneedling, a type of collagen induction therapy, has become an increasingly popular treatment. Another up-and-coming skin treatment is RF Microneedling. Although these treatments have similar names, there are some significant differences between the two. To learn more about the difference between Microneedling and RF Microneedling, keep reading.

    What is Traditional Microneedling?

Microneedling is primarily great for overall skin rejuvenation. This popular treatment addresses fine lines, textured skin and scarring while simultaneously prompting collagen production. At Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, we use the FDA-approved SkinPen for Microneedling treatments to ensure a safe and effective result. Results from the Microneedling treatments can be seen after just one treatment, but for optimal results, we typically recommend three to four sessions.

    (Microneedling with the FDA-Approved SkinPen)

    What is RF Microneedling?

Radio Frequency (RF) Microneedling is primarily used to tighten the skin, in addition to diminishing scarring and stretch marks. RF Microneedling also offers the same benefits as traditional microneedling, such as addressing fine lines/wrinkles, skin texture and more. RF Microneedling is a skin tightening treatment that uses radio frequency energy through fine point needles to deliver heat into the deeper layers of skin. When this heat is administered, it prompts collagen production and skin tightening in that area.

    (RF Microneedling Treatment)

    So What’s the Difference?

As we’ve discussed, both treatments are a type of collagen induction therapy. Additionally, both treatments can be applied to areas other than the face, such as the neck, décolletage and more. They both pierce the skin and generate micro-wounds, which jumpstarts your skin’s collagen production and helps achieve drastic improvement in your skin concerns like texture and appearance… but what’s the difference? The primary difference between these treatments is that Microneedling is ideal for patients looking to rejuvenate their skin, while RF Microneedling is ideal for patients looking to tighten their skin.
Wait – it gets better! For the month of October, we’re offering 10% OFF Microneedling and RF Microneedling treatments exclusively at Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery! • The Ultimate Guide to Chin Filler

When you think of injections, chin filler isn’t typically the first thing that comes to mind… but maybe it should be! Lip filler is an increasingly popular treatment, but did you know we frequently recommend chin filler in the same seating? Why do we recommend getting chin filler with your lip filler? Keep reading to find out!

    What is chin filler?

Similarly to other filler treatments, chin filler is a non-surgical procedure that adds structure, definition and/or symmetry to both your chin and entire facial profile. Like most dermal fillers, chin filler is comprised of hyaluronic acid, an acid that naturally occurs within your body. As we begin to age, we begin to lose volume throughout our face, which can result in asymmetry, loss of facial balance and more. Chin filler benefits include defining the jawline/chin area, adding balance to the face and creating a more pronounced chin (which presents a more youthful look).

    (Chin Filler Before & After)

Why do we recommend receiving chin filler and lip filler in the same seating?

Say it with us… facial balance matters. When you begin to augment one area of your face, it can cause your facial profile to become disproportionate. For example, when you receive lip filler, you’re adding volume to your lips. When this volume is added to your lips, it can cause your chin look more recessed and your overall profile to look less defined. When receiving filler in other areas (such as the nose or lips), our nurse injectors will often times recommend chin filler as well, in an effort to maintain proper facial balance.

How much does chin filler cost?

At Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, one syringe of chin filler begins at $750; however, more than one syringe may be required to achieve optimal results. Chin filler pricing typically ranges from $750-$2,000 (depending on the amount of product used) and the amount needed is determined through an injection consultation. Interested in booking your consultation? Click here!

When will I see my results?

Chin filler results can be seen immediately! While you will see an immediate difference, it typically takes two weeks for you to see your complete results, as the filler will settle during that time. On average, chin filler can last anywhere between 6 to 12 months, dependent on several factors such as metabolism, type of filler used, etc.

What are some of the potential side effects?

As with most injection procedures, common side effects can include, but are not limited to: swelling, bruising, redness and tenderness. With chin filler, we recommend avoiding hard chewing for a few days following your procedure due to the tenderness in the area. When it comes to aftercare, you can expect the chin to likely feel sore and heavy for a few days. We advise avoiding exercise for 72 hours and staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water. If you experience prolonged pain or discomfort, please contact our office at 702-683-2831.
If you’re unsure if chin filler is right for you, schedule a consultation with one of our experienced injectors to discuss your treatment plan, aesthetic goals and much more. Ready to book your chin filler appointment? Give our office a call at 702-683-2831 or click here to book online today!
  • What is Sculptra? How It Works, Cost & More!

What is Sculptra? How It Works, Cost & More!

If you haven’t heard of Sculptra yet, get ready to learn all about this increasingly popular treatment! Although Sculptra has been around in Europe since the late 1990s, it didn’t received FDA-approval in the United States until 2004; however, it’s finally gaining the recognition it deserves. If you’re looking for Sculptra treatments in Las Vegas, look no further, as our trained and knowledgable injectors are here to help!

What is Sculptra and What Does It Do?

Sculptra is a cosmetic injection commonly used to rejuvenate your face and treat volume loss; however, it’s much more than your traditional filler. After Sculptra is injected, it prompts your body to begin producing collagen where the product was placed, building results long after the procedure. Sculptra is actually a poly-L-lactic acid that promotes skin thickness in areas where hollowness and sunken areas have appeared, such as the face and buttocks. Commonly treated areas include the cheeks, forehead, jawline and much more. Sculptra can even be used to achieve a non-surgical BBL! Box and Vial of Sculptra

    (Sculptra Treatment Before & After)

    How Much Does Sculptra Cost?

At Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, Sculptra costs $800 per vial. Depending on the treatment area, more than one vial might be required to achieve optimal results. For specific pricing and/or to learn about our current specials, you may contact our front desk at 702-683-2831.

How Do I Know How Many Vials of Sculptra I Need?

A general rule of thumb is that you will need one vial of Sculptra per every decade you’ve been alive. Obviously, this is just a rule of thumb and does not account for excessive volume loss, desired goals, etc. Each patient is unique in their individual needs and results vary depending on a number of factors such as metabolism, frequency of exercise and more. To find out exactly how many vials are recommended for you, we recommend scheduling a consultation with one of our experienced nurse injectors. Click here to schedule yours!

    (Cheek Treatment with Sculptra)

How Long Does It Take for Sculptra to Start Working?

Due to the fact that Sculptra is not your typical hyaluronic acid filler, most patients do not see immediate results. Sculptra builds collagen within your own body, so you will see your results over time. A gradual change up to 12 weeks after the injection is typical for most patients.

What are the Side Effects of Sculptra?

The most common side effects of Sculptra include, but are not limited to: minor bruising, swelling and redness at or near the area of the injection site. For any concerns and/or questions, we recommend contacting our office at 702-683-2831.
With Sculptra treatments, patients can see results for up to two years, which is much longer than typical filler treatments! Our nurse injectors have your back- and your face- so you can rest assured that you’ve chosen the ideal location for your Sculptra treatments. To learn more about Sculptra, give us a call or click here to book your consultation today!

  • Cheek Filler Guide: Everything You Want to Know

Cheek Filler Guide: Everything You Want to Know

Did you know there is a way to add shape, structure AND symmetry to your face? While there are many options, one of our favorite solutions is cheek filler! Cheek filler is becoming increasingly popular in the medical spa industry, so to learn everything you need to know, keep reading.

    What is cheek filler?

Cheek filler is an injection into the cheekbone area that is frequently used to restore volume loss and/or define facial bone structure. Commonly used cheek fillers include traditional hyaluronic acid fillers and biostimulants. Different areas of the cheek can be treated for various results!

Is 1 mL of cheek filler enough?

With many treatments in medical spas, an injector might recommend just one syringe of filler at a time; however, when it comes to this area, one mL of cheek filler is not enough. Simply put, one syringe of cheek filler will not achieve a noticeable difference, so more than one mL is typically required to achieve optimal results.

What can be achieved with cheek filler?

Cheek filler can be used in a variety of ways, most commonly used to add shape, structure, symmetry and facial balance. Placement and technique are critical for cheek filler procedures, so it’s important to choose a well-experienced injector. Cheek filler treatments are modified to your specific needs, goals and anatomy. Additionally, cheek filler treatments can subsequently address under eye circles and laugh lines depending on your treated area.

How long does cheek filler last?

As we mentioned earlier, either hyaluronic fillers or biostimulants are used in cheek filler treatments. If treated with hyaluronic fillers, your results will be immediate and on average, will last between 9-12 months. If treated with a biostimulant, your results will take a few months to build and can last for up to two years. A variety of factors impact the longevity of your results, such as your metabolism, how frequently you exercise and more.
Most, if not all, cheek filler patients will require a minimum of two syringes to begin with. Similarly to other cosmetic treatments, optimal cheek filler results are achievable with multiple treatments and maintenance appointments. If you’re located in Las Vegas and think cheek filler might be an option for you, contact our office at 702-683-2831 or click here to schedule an injection consultation online.

  • Why Injector Experience Matters

    Why Injector Experience Matters

When you see a wrinkle, sagging skin or other signs of aging, you might immediately think of fillers as the solution. While you might be correct, you might also be surprised at how an experienced injector will use different modalities to treat aesthetic correction. For instance, if you see volume loss in your midface, you might assume filler is the answer. In reality, a combination of PDO threads and Sculptra might be the best treatments for you! When embarking on your injectables journey, it’s vital that you choose an experienced injector who understands anatomy who also considers your aesthetic goals.

The best injectors understand the entire facial structure and exactly what they need to do to provide a gentle enhancement that looks natural. To learn more about our nurse injectors at Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, click here. Here are a few general characteristics to look for when choosing your injector:

Consistent Training: In the aesthetics industry, there is always more to learn as new technology and techniques are always being developed. A good injector understands this, and he/she attends new trainings, conducts their own research, applies new education to existing knowledge & more.

Thorough Knowledge of Products/Treatments: With many facial injectable treatments and products, an injector must have a complete awareness of the uses, doses, and possible side effects of each treatment and/or products.

Must Be Able to Say “No”: Just as a primary doctor always determines a patient’s level of well-being before proceeding with surgery or medication, an injector must be able and willing to delay or deny giving an injection in any circumstance that might compromise the health of a patient or when it is clearly unadvised. A good injector always knows when to say “no” to their patient.

Transparent and Communicative: A good injector should be open with their patient! The ability to help a patient relax while also explaining the treatment in simpler terms is a skill that is quite useful.

The right injector will patiently discuss your aesthetic goals and explain the various modalities that exist. Together, you’ll determine the best treatment plan for your particular concerns and learn in-detail exactly what is involved. This process will have the added benefit of creating a lasting bond of trust and understanding between you and your injector.

  • 4 Reasons Why You Should Wear SPF Daily

4 Reasons Why You Should Wear SPF Daily

For many people, the only time they think about sun protection is when they’re exposed to the sun for long periods of time. However, sun exposure adds up, and it’s important you protect your skin every day. Sun exposure in small amounts comes with its own benefits, such as vitamin D, but with the use of daily sunscreen application, protecting your skin from the harmful effects from the sun is possible. To learn more about why you should wear sunscreen every day, keep reading.

    Sunscreen protects against skin cancer.

Sunscreen protects you from UV radiation from the sun. There are two types of UV radiation that affect your skin: UVA and UVB rays. When UV rays penetrate your skin, they damage its DNA and the cells in your dermis have to work in overdrive to produce melanin in the epidermis (top layer of the skin). When this happens, it increases the risk of various types of skin cancers such as melanoma and or carcinoma cancers.

    Sunscreen prevents premature aging.

When your skin is exposed to UV rays, it damages your skin leading to premature aging. Your skin is composed of three layers: the epidermis, dermis and the subcutaneous layer. The dermis is the layer that contains collagen, elastin and other fibers that support your skin’s structure, health and youthful appearance. When this layer is damaged, it causes you to age prematurely.

    Sunscreen maintains healthy skin complexion.

As noted above, UV rays damages the layer of the skin that contains the collagen and elastin that contributes to smooth and youthful skin. By applying SPF multiple times daily, you can ensure you’re maintaining a healthy complexion and glow.

    Sunscreen prevents sunburns.

A sunburn occurs as an inflammatory response to UV damage to the skin on the epidermis. There are two types of sunscreen that can protect you from this damage: chemical sunscreen and physical sunscreen. Chemical sunscreens absorb the UV rays in an effort to prevent penetration into the skin. Physical sunscreens reflect the UV rays off the skin. Regardless of which type of sunscreen you choose, we recommend a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. To explore our favorite sunscreen products, click here. Repeated sunburns will lead to increased risk of certain types of skin cancers and premature aging.

When it comes to protection from the sun, we recommend applying SPF multiple times daily, covering up, seeking shade and avoiding tanning beds. If you currently suffer from sun damage and/or hyperpigmentation, schedule a skincare consultation with one of our talented estheticians at Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery to determine which treatments and/or products are best for you. Rosacea might be commonly referred to as a “frequent” skin condition, but it doesn’t make you feel any better about it. When you suffer from rosacea, you need a treatment you can rely on that will give you amazing results. At Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery in Las Vegas, we are here to help with just that.

Microneedling: Microneedling is a collagen-induction therapy skin treatment. For microneedling, we use the FDA-approved SkinPen to repeatedly create punctures in the skin with fine point needles in order to boost your skin’s natural collagen production. Microneedling helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne scarring and texture. This treatment is also an option for patients dealing with rosacea!

SkinBetter Alto Advanced Defense and Repair Serum: SkinBetter is one of our most popular and trusted skincare brands. SkinBetter has released a new product, Alto Advanced Serum, which is a comprehensive antioxidant defense product which protects you from both intrinsic and environmental factors. SkinBetter’s Alto Advanced Defense Serum improves skin dullness, texture and overall redness, including rosacea. We also recommend pairing this product with microneedling treatments to maximize your results!

Custom HydraFacial with Light Therapy: Consistent clinical facials are another option for patients with rosacea. In conjunction with monthly facials, red light therapy can also help treat your rosacea. Light therapy treatments are available as an add-on to your custom facials to help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

SkinMedica TNS Advanced+ Serum: SkinMedica is another skincare brand popular among both our patients and staff! SkinMedica carries a product, TNS Advanced+ Serum, that contains growth factors, which helps with your skin’s overall health. This product contains growth factors, which help treat wrinkles, fine lines, skin tone and texture. This product is available to you as an add-on to your microneedling treatment.
