  • Medical Grade Skincare vs. Regular Skincare

In the skincare industry there is a plethora of products and brands to choose from. For many people, this can become confusing or overwhelming when you don’t know which products are most suitable for your skincare concerns. Often times, regular skincare products that you can purchase anywhere won’t yield the results you’re looking for. To learn more about the difference between regular skincare and medical grade skincare, keep reading!

    1.) Scientifically Proven

Medical grade skincare products are based off science and studies. This means these products go through clinical trials to scientifically prove these products yield the results they claim to. Despite what other marketing campaigns might have you believe, this is not true for regular skincare brands in the general cosmetic industry.

    2.) Expertise

With regular, average skincare products, you typically purchase these products based off your own skincare self-diagnosis. When this happens, this means you might be purchasing products that aren’t accurately treating your skin concerns or worse… they’re making them worse!

When you purchase medical grade skincare at Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, we can schedule a skincare consultation with one of our talented and certified estheticians where they recommend medical grade products specifically for you and your concerns.

Don’t have time for a consultation? Click here to take our online skincare quiz to see which products we recommend for you!

    3.) Regulated by the FDA

When you’re shopping for medical grade skincare, you can only purchase these products from clinics with a medical director. Medical grade skincare contains high-strength ingredients in them, which means they are subject to FDA regulation. In comparison, the traditional cosmetic industry is largely self-regulated, which results in inconsistency in safety and efficacy of the products.

Medical grade skincare does not require a prescription, but medical grade products do work more quickly and effectively to treat your specific skin concerns and improve your skin’s general health.

    4.) Direct from Manufacturer

At Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, we purchase our inventory directly from the manufacturers. Although you might find medical grade skincare online, approximately 33% of those products may not be genuine. To avoid any skincare disasters, we recommend purchasing your skincare directly from our clinic or from our Deux Rosé Physician Store online.

    5.) Comprehensive Treatment Plans

When you come to visit Deux Rosé, we build treatment plans specifically for you and your skin concerns. To maximize your results, we often recommend medical grade skincare products in conjunction with other esthetic treatments and/or injectable treatments.

Our estheticians and injectors provide you with expert recommendations so you can achieve the aesthetic goals you’ve always wanted. To book your skincare consultation and begin your skincare journey, contact our office by calling 702-683-2831 or click here to book online.

  • Top 5 Benefits of Microneedling Treatments

Microneedling treatments are a type of collagen induction therapy with many benefits. With microneedling, our estheticians use sterile needling to create mini trauma to the skin, which results in the production of collagen. At Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, we use the FDA-approved SkinPen for our microneedling treatments to give you get the best treatment possible! To learn more about the benefits of microneedling, keep reading!

    1.) Collagen Production

If you’re not familiar with what collagen is, it’s a protein in the skin that enables structure, strength and a youthful appearance. When you are receiving a microneedling treatment, the mini trauma from the treatment causes a boost in collagen and elastin production. When there is a boost in collagen, this can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. For the best results, we recommend booking at least three microneedling treatments with 4-6 weeks in between each treatment.

    2.) Scar Reduction

As we mentioned earlier, microneedling induces the production of collagen and elastin. Because of this, microneedling can be quite effective at diminishing acne scarring and other scars on the skin. Additionally, microneedling is safe on all skin types! However, it is important to note that microneedling can help with most scars except keloid (AKA raised) scars.

    3.) Hyperpigmentation & Sun Damage

If your skin has been damaged by the sun, microneedling can help! Sun damage often looks like blotchiness and/or discoloration of the skin and this treatment can help even out your skin tone. Microneedling stimulates new cell growth, which can help with redness, hyperpigmentation, age spots and uneven skin tone.

    4.) Effectiveness of Skincare

Due to the mini trauma microneedling causes to the skin, it assists with the absorption of topical products. Products like serums, moisturizers, and creams are better absorbed by the micro-channels created by the microneedling treatment, which in return, helps with the overall hydration of your skin.

    5.) Less Downtime

Another amazing benefit of microneedling is that it has less downtime compared to other services such as laser treatments or chemical peels. Microneedling gives you essentially immediate results with no downtime. Within 24-48 hours of your treatment, most patients say they can see a visible difference in their skin. With other treatments, it can take weeks or months to begin to see a visible change!

Microneedling is an effective way to achieve a more radiant and youthful complexion. We recommend this treatment to anyone who is wanting to rejuvenate their skin! To book your appointment, give our front desk a call at 702-683-2831 or click here to book online.

  • Erbium YAG Treatments: What Even Are They?

Have you ever heard of an Erbium YAG treatment? Although it sounds like a silly name, it’s actually a legitimate laser treatment! Out of all of the laser treatments we offer at Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, what makes this one different? Keep reading to find out!

    What is Erbium YAG?

Erbium YAG laser treatments are minimally-invasive skin resurfacing treatments that completely transform your skin. This laser treatment works by targeting the water in the dermis and epidermis to help turn over and tighten the skin… We like to call it the laser alternative to chemical peels! By turning over the skin, this treatment helps improve texture, fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, skin laxity and overall appearance.

How long does it take to see results?

Results from this treatment can be seen almost immediately! Immediately post-treatment, your skin will look brighter and feel smoother. As your skin heals in the days/weeks following the treatment, you will continue to see improvements. Additionally, you will continue to see improved results throughout multiple sessions and as the deeper layers of tissue continue to heal.

What is the downtime like for Erbium YAG treatments?

The downtime for this treatment varies as Erbium YAG treatments can be performed at a variety of intensities, depending on the patient. Typically, the downtime for this treatment is 1-3 weeks.

For 7 days, patients should avoid the sun and any sweating. Following the treatment, you can expect redness and possible peeling of the skin. It’s also important that you avoid any skincare products that contain active ingredients until your skin is fully healed.

What do I do after I’ve received my treatment?

After your treatment is over, your nurse will send you home with post-care products to help keep your skin moisturized. There is a limited amount of products you can use immediately post-care, so be sure to listen to your provider’s advice!

When it comes time to wash your face, be sure to only use cold or lukewarm water. As we mentioned earlier, you should avoid skincare products with active ingredients (retinol/retinoid, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, etc.) until your skin has fully healed. To ensure you’re protecting your skin, avoid the sun for 1-3 weeks and always wear a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher. If you have any aftercare questions, always feel free to contact out front desk!

Erbium YAG treatments are safe for all skin types and are a great option for patients looking to completely transform their skin! We typically recommend 3-6 sessions depending on your results, your esthetician’s suggestions and your desired aesthetic goals. If you’re ready to book your skincare consultation, give our office a call at 702-683-2831 or click here to book online.

  • WARNING: Do Not Try This Treatment at Home!

With the surge of TikTok trends, viral Facebook posts and Pinterest DIY’s, it can be hard to determine what is actually legitimate and what’s not. One of those current popular trends is at-home dermaplaning. Although it’s a popular trend on the internet, dermaplaning is one procedure you should not try to do yourself!

Dermaplaning is a treatment where a scalpel blade is used on the surface of the skin to remove dead skin cells & peach fuzz, exfoliating the skin and improving your skin’s texture. At-home dermaplaning treatments and tools simply shave your face, while dermaplaning treatments in a med spa are medical aesthetic treatments that do much more. While we do typically recommend this procedure to patients, it’s important you do not try it yourself. As previously mentioned, dermaplaning is performed with a scalpel blade, so when used incorrectly, there is a lot that could go wrong.

Effective and safe dermaplaning requires a specific technique and an exact angle. Without knowing this, it is extremely possible you can cut your skin, which can then result in an infection and/or scarring of the skin. Not only can self-dermaplaning be dangerous, but it can also be significantly less effective.

At Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, we put safety first! Our certified aestheticians are trained on proper dermaplaning techniques, so you can rest assured you’re receiving a safe, effective treatment when you’re here. We recommend pairing a dermaplaning treatment with a HydraFacial to maximize the benefits of your facial treatment! To book your HydraFacial and/or skincare consultation, you can click here or give our front desk a call at 702-683-2831 today!

  • Injectables 101: Everything You Need to Know!

Welcome to Injectable 101- Everything you need to know before getting an injection. Whether you’re new to injectables, a returning patient or just a curious person, we’re going to break down everything you need to know about injectable treatments! We understand that this industry can be intimidating, especially when it comes to product knowledge and understanding the treatments we offer. Here at Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, we offer a wide variety of injectable treatments and products, so let’s dive into them!

    Brands We Carry

At Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, we only carry brands that we actually trust and believe in. With that being said, the injectable brands we carry are Allergan, Galderma and Merz. Each brand offers various injectable products (some similar, some not) so let’s dig a little deeper!

    Neuromodulators/Anti-Wrinkle

One type of injectable treatment we offer is neuromodulators (AKA neurotoxins or anti-wrinkle). We carry three neuromodulator products: Botox, Dysport and Xeomin.

    • Botox: Botox is manufactured by Allergan. With Botox, this treatment typically lasts 4-6 months and will fully set in around 7-10 after your treatment. It is common that patients say they “feel heaviness” from the product due to the accessory proteins within the product itself. After awhile, we recommend switching anti-wrinkle products due to the fact that your body can build up a natural tolerance. A full Botox vial is 50 units.
    • Dysport: Dysport is manufactured by Galderma. Similarly to Botox, Dysport typically lasts 4-6 months. Dysport will fully activate around 5-7 days after your initial treatment and patients typically say it feels “lighter” than Botox. It is also possible that patients can begin to build up a natural tolerance to Dysport as well! A full Dysport vial is 150 units.
    • Xeomin: Xeomin is manufactured by Merz. Like our other anti-wrinkle products, Xeomin also lasts around 4-6 months. Xeomin will fully set in 7-10 days after your treatment and this is also the “lightest” of the neuromodulators! Xeomin is the “lightest” due to the fact that it is double-refined and does not contain any accessory proteins. A full Xeomin vial is 50 units.

Anti-wrinkle treatments are great for a variety of reasons, as it can treat many issues such as: furrowed brows, forehead lines, crow’s feet (wrinkles by the eyes), bunny lines (wrinkles beside the nose), uneven eyebrows & much more! If you suffer from hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating), anti-wrinkle can be used to treat that as well!

Per the state of Nevada, we are required to sell the entire vial to each patient, so we do not/cannot offer per unit services to our patients.

    Fillers/Dermal Fillers

Another type of injectable treatment we offer is dermal fillers (AKA facial fillers). Facial fillers can be used for contouring and/or plumping and are often used in areas such as the lips, cheeks, under-eyes and more. At Deux Rosé, these are the dermal fillers we offer:

    • Juvéderm: Juvéderm products are produced by Allergan. We carry a variety of Juvéderm fillers that can be used in various areas of the face, such as Juvéderm XC (lips & midface), Juvéderm Vollure (lips & midface), Juvéderm Volbella (lips) and Juvéderm Voluma (cheeks).
    • Restylane: Restylane products are manufactured by Galderma. We also carry a variety of Restylane fillers that are used in different facial regions, such as Restylane Classic (under-eyes, midface & lips), Restylane Silk (lips), Restylane Defyne (midface & chin), Restylane Refyne (lips & under-eyes), Restylane Kysse (lips) and Restylane Lyft (cheeks, nose & jawline).

With dermal fillers, patients typically see results for around 6-8 months and sometimes longer as results may vary. Results vary depending on which areas were treated, which products you received, your metabolism, etc. We currently offer NEW packages so you can bundle your filler and anti-wrinkle treatments!

    Biostimulants

Biostimulants are products used in areas where traditional dermal fillers are not applied. Biostimulants help replace volume that has been lost and/or help sculpt and contour your face by naturally inducing collagen production where placed. We carry two types of biostimulants:

    • Radiesse: Radiesse is produced by Merz. Radiesse is both a dermal filler and a biostimulant, meaning it can be used for both volume and contour. The gel filler portion provides instant results while the biostimulant portion provides “scaffolding” for the body to build collagen. Radiesse is commonly used in areas like the jawline!
    • Sculptra: Sculptra is produced by Galderma. Unlike Radiesse, Sculptra is entirely a biostimulant and results are not instant. Instead, patients we see results in 3-4 months as your body absorbs the product and begins to produce collagen in the areas it was placed. Sculptra is reconstituted with saline and lidocaine, and then injected into the patient. Within the next 24-48 hours, the patient’s body will absorb the saline and the biostimulating crystals will start promoting collagen production. Sculptra is commonly used in areas like the temples, midface and cheeks. Patients may also need multiple rounds to get the results they are seeking!

When it comes to biostimulants, it is important that these products are never placed around the eyes or mouth, so choose your injector wisely! Biostimulants are a great option for patients looking to treat their volume loss, but we always require a consultation first. To book your consultation, you can click here or give our office a call at 702-683-2831.

    Fat Reduction/Dissolvent

We also offer an injectable treatment that allows you to reduce or dissolve your double chin! The product used for this treatment is Kybella, which is manufactured by Allergan. Kybella is an FDA approved treatment that destroys fat cells and is an alternative to surgical treatments with comparable results.

The most common area to inject Kybella is the “double chin” area; however, Kybella can treat other areas with stubborn fat like the lower tummy, inner thighs and arms. Kybella destroys the targeted fat cells permanently, but it is common for patients to need more than one treatment. If you are taking serious medications, consult with your physician before getting this injection. Women who are pregnant or nursing should also not receive this treatment as well as those with infections or bleeding problems

Patient education is one of our top priorities at Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery! We want each patient to feel comfortable and knowledgable about the treatments and products they’ll be receiving, so always feel free to ask your injector any questions you might have. If you’re ready to begin (or continue!) your injectable journey with us, you can click here to book your appointment or give our front desk a call at 702-683-2831. Come refine your beauty with us at Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery!

  • What Role Do Antioxidants Play in Your Skincare?

Are you looking to achieve radiant, youthful and healthy skin? If so, antioxidants are vital for both you and your skincare regimen! Antioxidants play an important role in preserving your skin’s health while simultaneously protecting your skin from free radicals in the environment. The term “free radicals” gets tossed around in the beauty industry quite frequently, so let’s break it down!

    What are free radicals?

Free radicals are unstable oxygen molecules that exist all throughout our environment. We often come in contact with free radicals daily, such as pollution, cigarette smoke, excessive alcohol consumption and more. Free radicals cause damage to your skin cells, which results in wrinkling, age spots, fine lines and even loose skin. Thankfully, antioxidants can help neutralize and counteract the damage caused by these free radicals!

Everything You Need to Know About Antioxidants

Antioxidants are substances that help protect your skin from damage caused by free radicals, so they’re commonly found in skincare products for their anti-aging benefits. Many skincare products include antioxidants such as:

Vitamin C: This antioxidant has anti-inflammatory properties, which means it helps reduce acne-induced inflammation. Vitamin C provides strong protection from sun damage and environmental stressors, while also boosting collagen production.

Vitamin E: Vitamin E provides moisturizing and healing benefits that help repair, strengthen and maintain your skin barrier. This antioxidant even enhances the effectiveness of other antioxidants!

Vitamin A: This antioxidant penetrates the skin by stimulating collagen production and accelerating cellular turnover and repair. Vitamin A helps thicken the dermis, which allows for more blood flow to the skin and often results in wrinkle reduction.

Antioxidants not only protect your skin from free radicals, but they can also repair damage that has been caused. At Deux Rosé Beauty Refinery, our flagship antioxidant product is SkinBetter’s Alto Defense Serum, which contains 19 different antioxidants! The Alto Defense Serum provides you with all-day antioxidant protection while also improving the appearance of uneven skin tone and redness.

If you’re ready to begin your skincare journey with us, give our front desk a call at 702-683-2831 or click here for booking! • Our Favorite Exfoliating Product

Dry skin can be frustrating to deal with and if you’ve ever experienced it, you know what we mean. Dry and dehydrated skin can lead to flaking, rough texture and an increase in the appearance of fine lines, and no one wants that.

We recommend exfoliating at least three times per week in order to combat the drudges of dry skin and we have just the product for the job! The Exfoliating Polish by ZO Skin Health is one of our favorite exfoliating products for at home use. The Exfoliating Polish uses finely ground magnesium beads that gently remove dry and textured skin. Using the Exfoliating Polish is easy and can worked into the skin after cleansing. Afterwards, the skin is smooth and radiant. The best part about the Exfoliating Polish is that it can be incorporated into your existing skincare routine.

For those interested in trying this fantastic product, the Exfoliating Polish can be conveniently purchased in our clinic and our knowledgeable staff members can help assist with any purchases!

  • Our Favorite HydraFacial Add-Ons

If your self-care routine includes getting monthly facials, then you’ve probably heard of a HydraFacial treatment. A classic HydraFacial treatment is a standard, three-step treatment that exfoliates texture, decongests clogged pores and replenishes the skin with antioxidants. However, we always encourage clients to consider add-ons to enhance the benefits of the HydraFacial to meet your specific skincare concerns. Some of our favorite add-ons for the HydraFacial include dermaplaning, jelly masks and HydraFacial boosters!

Dermaplaning is our most popular add-on. This step would come before the HydraFacial treatment, this is an exfoliating step where the first layer of dead skin and peach fuzz are gently removed. The exfoliation allows the skin to absorb a secondary treatment, like the HydraFacial. Dermaplaning also helps brighten the complexion and smooths the skin.

For those wanting an added boost of hydration, consider the jelly mask as your next HydraFacial add-on. We carry the hydrojelly mask suite from EstheMax and they come in a variety of options to address skincare concerns that vary from acne to anti-aging. The jelly masks are activated by water and when applied to the face, it acts as a seal to lock in moisture to the skin. Jelly masks leave your skin glowing and hydrated and are a great addition to your HydraFacial.

Last but not least, the HydraFacial boosters. HydraFacial boosters are engineered serums to act as an added step to infuse into the pores. Boosters concentrate on specific skin concerns like redness reduction or dermal repair, and many more!

Contact our office today by calling 702-683-2831 to schedule your next Custom HydraFacial and explore our amazing facial enhancements!
